Since 1956, the Michele Chiarlo winery has been vinifying the essence of Piedmont, Italy. The finest crus of Michele Chiarlo come from vineyards in Barolo, Barbaresco, Nizza, and Gavi. The use of indigenous grapes including Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese, and Moscato ensures the expression of the local terroir in each bottle.

Michele Chiarlo’s philosophy is grounded in the rigorous selection of the best grapes from the top local vineyard areas. Long before DOC laws were adopted, founder Michele Chiarlo aged his wines in oak and then in bottle for long periods of time. He is also credited with being one of the first producers to introduce malolactic fermentation to Italy. The beauty and variation of the landscape are captured by the Michele Chiarlo winery in these most prestigious crus of Piedmont.
